Recipe: Wild Fennel grows in groups of tall stalks with bunches of little yellow flowers on the top. They smell and taste strongly of licorice, a potent memory holder for me both of distant places and times. This fennel was foraged outside of a restaurant in SE PDX that I bought a veggie box from over the summer.
